ABOUT ME
I always aspire to be the best version of me and the goal is to inspire others to do the same for themselves through conversation, social media, blogging, example... the point being – I try to continuously be better than who I was yesterday.
I am an Actor, an improviser, a coach/mentor, a water enthusiast, a son, a brother, and a friend.
As a stage actor, I have studied under Dr. Paul Cravath and Don J. Ranney at the University of Hawaii Schools and Scott Rogers at the Film Actors Studio. Past film credits include: Mike and Dave need Wedding Dates and Journey to the Center of the Earth: Mysterious Island.
TV shows include LOST and currently play Officer Pua Kai on CBS Hawaii 5-0.
In Hawaii, I have taught improv since 2009 but have been improvising since 2001. I have studied improv with R. Kevin Doyle, Shannon Winnpenny, Carrick Paikai, Jonathan Pitts, and Rachel Hamilton to name a few. Improv troupes I have been a part of are the Loose Screws, On The Spot. IYFI was a group I had started and coached since 2009. Other improvisational organizations I have worked closely with are Laughtrack Theater Company and ImprovHI.
I see based off of others responses, I am gifted with a talent to navigate through people's "CRAZY" and I can either add to the chaos or tame the chaos whichever is suited best. Interesting fact, I was given a "Suffix" Award because that was and still is my best skill in Improvisation. Now, I can see why my tagline has always been, "Why you mad?" But that topic is deserving of its own post.
Speaking of "CRAZY" - One of my crazies is water. Why am I a fan of water? Because water is life and it’s the best possible thing for us humans to consume next to air. And I shit you not, once you've tasted water the way water should taste like, you cannot imagine the impact it will have on your life (as I take a sip of this amazing water).
