A brief conversation with a very dear friend. Kimee Balmilero shares her thoughts when asked, "What does it mean to #believe in yourself?" She's a proud lifetime student of the legendary Ronald E. Bright which Kimee attributes to a lot of her accomplishments. Some professional credits include The 3X Emmy Nominated series “Hi-5,” the Original Broadway Cast of “Mamma Mia,” “Miss Saigon,” and most recently, the recurring role of Dr. Noelani Cunha on “Hawaii Five-0.”

Another talent, skill, and passion Kimee has studied improv & sketch comedy at the famed Uprights Citizens Brigade Theatre in Hollywood.

Since moving home to Hawaii in 2012, Kimee founded improvhi a company and website dedicated to sketch and improv comedy in Hawaii. ImprovHi also teaches classes. This month's show will be ImprovHi's Improv Musical featuring local Hawaii Five-0 t.v. star, Dennis Chun which happens on May 6 at The Arts at Marks. For more info check out the website at improvhi.com.

In March 2015, she created and produced the first ever Hawaii Sketch Comedy Festival at the Honolulu Museum of Art’s Doris Duke Theater. This year's 2017 Festival will be held Oct. 21 & 22. If you want to participate, Video submissions are due August 5, 2017. For more information check out hisketchfest.com/
