Every now and then I think of an encounter I had 2 years ago while l lived in Punchbowl - Downtown Honolulu. I prayed and wrote the prayer to share with others on FB and today was one of those days I thought of that encounter, so I share this prayer with you and hope that one day if this person should come across this post he will fill the blanks and I can only wish that he is doing wonders for the world.
A prayer for the night of October 9, 2015

Dear Heavenly Father,
Tonight I pray for Zach. I don't know if his name is spelled with "ch" but I assume it is either way you will know. I don't know much about him, but all I know I know is that he needed, much needed rest and a shoulder to lean on.
He claimed he was robbed and his moped was stolen while he tried to help out a lady by Sports Authority Ward. He approached my vehicle while stopped at a red light and asked if he could get a ride to Keamoku WalMart. So I gave him a ride and asked where did he need to go by Keamoku and I would take him home if needed.
During the ride, he was reaching around for something in his pockets, then I noticed he had my phone in his hands. I asked if he needed to make a call and he said yes, however the car ride was so smooth that he fell asleep. He continued to fall asleep so much he slept for 2 hours. As he slept, I drove around to make for comfortable weather.
As I drove, I kept asking him where his house was but he never answered. In that moment, I had begun to think he may not have home and may be house-less, but I did not want to assume. Time when he would sporadically wake, I asked if he was hungry and would say yes, but then again he was so tired he fell right back to sleep. So I ordered him McDonald's anyway incase he was hungry later.
Finally I told him I needed to know where he was going because I had an early morning ahead of me. He continued to sleep. So, I thought I would let him sleep awhile longer and he feels he can get up, Zach can let me know where to go. Because Zach said Keamoku, naturally I drove there and parked on the side.
An hour went by and he was still asleep. Zach twitches when he sleeps. He twitched so much he kept leaning into me. Whilst he was asleep, I started noticing that he had a rash on his ankle he tried to cover up with a sports sleeve. I noticed Zach was getting cold, and he kept leaning over as if he needed someone to be next to. So I thought to just let him sleep some more. So much more, what I had thought was him getting cold was him crying and when he kept leaning towards me, it was his body physically looking to held. I was unsure what to do, but it seemed he was in a place of darkness and was freaking out and I said to myself, "he just needs some love Shawn..." So I took his hand and held it with both my hands so he would know he wasn't alone. As soon as I took his hand, he slowly calmed down. A moment later he looked so comfortable and it's probably was the most comfortable he's been in a while. I continued to hold his hand and watched him sleep a while longer.
When he finally woke and looked at me and then looked at his hand, I let go and I asked if I should take him anywhere, he said the back side of Walmart was fine. As he got out, Zach looked a bit dazed. Just in-case, I gave Zach what ever was left in my wallet. At first he refused to take it, but I told Zach take it because I know he would need it. He shook my hand and before he could let go, I told him to take care and to know he is never alone.
So tonight I pray lord, that you please watch over him and help to heal any scars he may be suffering. I pray that you light a path for him and show him the journey you planned for him. There was a reason why we crossed paths and I feel it's because he needed some rest and a shoulder to lean on and I thank you for choosing me to that person. Please Lord, watch over him. Thank you lord. Goodnight and amen.
